California Rural Water Association in partnership with Mojave Water Agency (MWA) and in support of the Integrated Regional Water Management Plan is offering this Basic Hydrogeology class free of charge to enhance the knowledge of the water industry for Water Operators and System Managers of Private, Public and Tribal Systems.

This class will present basic concepts in groundwater hydrogeology, which will be useful in understanding sources and uses of water resources, constraints on the development of those resources and how to maximize production of groundwater while reducing total costs over the life of the well. You will leave the class knowing more about:
• Principles of Groundwater Flow
• Groundwater Recharge and Water Budgets
• Hydrogeology of the Mojave Desert Area
• Groundwater Contaminants
• Optimal Well Design Using Sound Hydrogeological Principals
• Well Development Techniques\
